Who We Are
Welcome to the City Road Allotments website. Here you will find information on our site such as upcoming events and seasonal recipes. If you are interested in applying for a plot, please get in touch with us via the Contact Us page.
Our site is located in Dundee, Scotland. It has been in existence since the 1940s when the need arose to grow your own for the war effort.
Originally farmland, the allotments have evolved over the years to the present day where we now have 71 plots of assorted sizes in use. The Association manages the site, which is leased from Dundee City Council; our purpose is to promote the growing of fruit and vegetables, to manage the site to promote a community spirit among members and to protect and enhance the environment.

When I was a kid, a lot of people around our council estate had allotments. I used to love going to those allotments. It was an escape, like a little paradise.
